When are we open for all?

There’s finally a light at the end of the tunnel and we can’t wait to open our doors to all our guests at room2 and neighbours to the Living Room on 17th May. Itching to book that holiday? Take a look at our offers page and book a stay to look forward to.

With that said, our doors are still open to accommodate those who require a place to rest their head for essential work purposes or for those who call room2 their abode. We’re pretty darn good with our Covid-busting procedures now, so you should feel extra safe in our hands.

A (safer) place to live, not just to stay!

From move-in, to housekeeping and team training, we’ve taken every possible precaution to ensure a safe, but still unique and flexible experience for both our beloved guests and our team.

But, more than anything we want you to know that we’re open (for those who need us) and that when you stay, you’ll still get that unique room2 experience, with some new tweaks to ensure everyone’s wellbeing. Together these changes make up our Safe Stay procedures.

Covid-busting cleaning

All our cleaning procedures have been levelled-up, day and night by our amazing, covid-busting roommakers.

 

On-demand linen

Linen dropped by cleaning fairies. Our on-demand service keeps you as safe and fresh as possible, and at your beck and call!

 

Safe, contactless mobile keys

No forms, no fuss, no contact. Just download, hover and then enter all from your phone.

 

Contactless payment

Cash was so last year, we’ve gone full card-only payments instead. We think it’s the way of the future.

 

Food at your door

No buffet breakfast unfortunately, but enjoy cooking in your very own kitchen or an UberEATS/Deliveroo takeout for dinner.

 

Germ-ation station

Sanitization station in the lobby so everyone can pump, rub and wash those hands. Be gone germs!

 

Spare PPE

Forgotten a face mask for the little ones? Or need some gloves? We’ve got you covered with spares when you need it.

 

No queues, no hassle

Move-in and out hasslefree with our online and contact-free setup. Save time, stay safe. Hoorah!

 

Can’t have it all

We aren’t serving any food and drinks in the Living Room but feel free to take your snacks and drinks up to your room.

 

One-way highway

With signs and clear flows, you’ll be A-OK with our one-way system. Plus its lifts up and stairs down (if you’re able to.)

 

 

We’ve also been awarded the official UK mark and Covid AA rating that recognises our Covid-19 updates meet industry and government standards.

I have a booking but unable to travel due to restrictions, what do I do?

Following the recent government announcement of a national lockdown, we would like to reassure you of the status of your booking(s).

Travelling for essential work?

If you’re travelling for essential work, you’re still welcome to stay, we just require you to self-certify your reason for travel by filling out the form below.

If you’re travelling for leisure, you will need to move your stay, you can do so free of charge.

For any fully-flexible bookings, our cancellation policy still applies and is free up to 24 hours prior to your stay date.

For bookings on our non-refundable rates, we have changed the policy so that you are able to amend your booking free of charge to any future stay date after February 15th until May 31st 2021. Just make sure changes are made before your initial stay date! Please take note that rates are subject to change.

Time’s are tough and we’d love for you to postpone and not cancel.  To amend your booking, simply email hello@room2.com or call us on 020 8748 2645.

Expedia or other travel agents

Please get in touch with your travel agent directly if you need to make changes to your booking.

What measures are in place to protect your staff who are still coming in to work?

We take the safety of our team very seriously, and have implemented additional training to ensure our roommates know how to operate under different, Covid-19 related scenarios and have provided provisions of PPE where relevant.

How are you ensuring social distancing?

As per the UK government guidelines, we’ve implemented a number of changes to ensure minimal contact and social distancing is applied. There is a one way system in place to go up and down the building, floor markings and sneeze screens to protect our staff.

I’m hoping to book a stay in the near future, can I still do that?

We recommend that you book via our fully flexible rates, which can be cancelled closer to the date of arrival and free of charge in the case that Government guidelines change. Please check T&Cs on your booking for the individual terms related to the property.

I need to self-isolate after arriving from an international destination. Can I stay with you?

We’d love to help you out but there are a few complications, so please contact us directly via our email to discuss: hello@room2.com

Are you still providing food and beverage facilities for guests?

Our public spaces are currently closed for external guests (and have been since March 2020). But not to worry, you can still enjoy a warm meal by staying in and cooking in your fully-kitted out kitchen (there are plenty of supermarkets nearby), or order in a takeaway to your room- we won’t judge.

The Living Room is currently closed until further notice and won’t be serving any food. The pantry, however, remains open to purchase snacks and drinks for our guests to consume in the comfort of their rooms. We hope to fully reopen all facilities in the near future. Stay posted.

Are your properties currently open and accepting guests?

Yes, our properties remain open in line with the UK Government guidelines and are only accepting those who are travelling for essential work.
